Beloved Baxter

It was a sad day in the Brown family this last week. Baxter passed away late Wednesday night. We believe he had cancer or something else internally wrong with him. We were treating him for a yeast infection in his ear. He had gotten worse one day so the vet thought that maybe he had got an inner ear infection so they gave him 3 shots. One was a steroid shot which we believe just prolonged his life for one more week. Wednesday when we got home from work he was in really bad shape. He continued to get worse thru the evening and finally passed away around 1 a.m. The boys took it really well. Nolan had an ear infection on Thursday so Wyatt told Nolan he was going to die like Baxter. We quickly corrected him. Wyatt says we can get a new one after a March. The house is really empty and we miss him like crazy.

Grandpas birthday

We went to Grandma and Grandpas today for some lunch to celebrate Grandpas birthday. I took over some chili and went for a walk afterwards. Unfortunately we didn't go into the woods because it was really wet and we didn't have the shoes for it.

Easter at Grandma Greats

The kids had 199 Easter eggs to hunt. We think they found them all. Dad will find them when he mows the grass this summer. We missed the "Edlin 6" kids. Doc was busy looking to see what Nolan got. We ate way way to much. Of course there was to much food like always. We had meatballs, country ham, turkey, and all of the fixings. There was so many desserts. My favorite was the cookies-n-creme cake Sabrina made. The kids favorite was Moms sugar cookies and the jello eggs Aunt Rhonda always makes. Paul wasn't there because he had to work, Savanah was at her dads, other then that everyone was there. Josie brought her boyfriend around for the first time. He seemed nice. .

I hope you had a good Easter. Here is a few pictures of us all cleaned up. We had to take pictures after church because Nolan had one of his break downs. WOW!!!

On sunday we went with our neighbor to her parents farm and went sledding/tubing. The boys loved it of course. However Dave and I didn't really show off our great parenting skills. We didn't think to wear sunscreen. OH MY GOSH!! The boys have never had their face this sunburned in the summer. I feel horrible. I hope it goes away some before school tomorrow. Wyatt's hair got some sun today or it just looks white against his face.

This was the first time the boys got to play in a lot of snow. They are used to playing in about 1-2 inches of snow. Nolan wanted to eat it (surprise, surprise). Wyatt didn't want to go in he wanted to stay out there all day. It was to windy on Saturday so we only played for about 30 minutes.
